Yicheng Zhang

PhD Candidate

PhD Candidate in Materials Science and Engineering, Whiting School of Engineering

Yicheng is a Materials Science and Engineering PhD student. He obtained his B.S. in Materials Science & Engineering from Soochow University in China.  In Mao Lab, his thesis research focuses on encapsulation and controlled release of low molecular weight drugs and peptides using the flash nanocomplexation (FNC) and flash nanoprecipitation (FNP) platforms.  By tuning secondary interaction between cargo molecules and carrier molecules, Yicheng has developed a series of nanoparticle systems with adjustable releasing duration varying from hours to weeks.
