Xiaoya Julia Lu

PhD Candidate


PhD Candidate in Materials Science and Engineering, Whiting School of Engineering

Julia received her B.S. in Chemical Engineering from University of Toronto, and M.S.E in Biomedical Engineering from Johns Hopkins University.  She has research in Dr. Traverso’s Lab at MIT in oral drug delivery, tumor tissue modeling, and anti-malarial drug discovery.  In Mao Lab, her thesis research focuses on nanoparticle-based protein delivery.  In her free time, she enjoys hiking, running, and other outdoor activities.
