B.S. Candidate in Materials Science and Engineering, Class of 2024

Hussein is a Materials Science and Engineering major. He currently works with Zhicheng Yao to develop a biodegradable nanofiber-hyaluronic acid (HA) hydrogel composite (NHC) aiming to promote soft tissue restoration and design a gelatin nanofiber-based HA hydrogel composite scaffold for the treatment of perianal fistulas in Crohn’s disease patients. In his free time, Hussein loves to play soccer, go hiking, explore new food places with friends, and try out new recipes.
