Sareena Naganand
B.S. Candidate in Biomedical Engineering, Class of 2028
Sareena is an undergraduate student majoring in biomedical engineering. In the lab, Sareena currently develops lipid nanoparticle (LNP) formulations for reprogramming various cell types. She’s interested in how natural compounds could be integrated into LNPs, allowing the formulation to have improved transfection and confer therapeutic benefit.
Sareena is also interested in how machine learning can be leveraged to predict more effective formulations de novo, optimizing for transfection efficiency and phenotypic outcomes. Outside of research, Sareena enjoys reading novels, writing, making art, and playing the violin.
